Zahava’s Serenity Healing Gardens is a therapeutic botanical gardens for cancer patients, caregivers, and their families. This vision is inspired by the memory of my dear mother, Zahava Furer, fondly known in LA as the “flower lady,” who valiantly battled Stage 4 breast cancer bone metastasis for 6 years. Her courage inspires us to create a sanctuary that brings hope, happiness, and serenity to individuals who are battling cancer.

Located in the heart of Bergen County’s healthcare hub in New Jersey, our proposed location is strategically placed near renowned cancer treatment hospitals. As a beacon of hope and comfort, Zahava’s Serenity Healing Gardens Inc. aims to fulfill the unique needs of cancer patients, caregivers and their loved ones.

Our programs have been carefully designed to address a gap in current support systems, providing a sanctuary of comfort and assistance in a region where such resources are lacking. Studies in the Journal of Clinical Oncology underscore the benefits of nature and holistic therapy found in healing gardens.

Tailored to the needs of each individual and family, our services offer emotional support, guidance, and respite.

Therapeutic activities: Yoga, meditation, art therapy, music therapy, gardening, educational workshops and support groups help with relaxation and well-being.

Nature-based healing: Our gardens provide a serene and calming environment where patients, caregivers and their families connect with nature through nature walks, horticultural and a holistic environment.
